Anterior Sitio Industrial Reflejará la Diversidad Económica y Cultural de la Ciudad y Preservará la Arquitectura Histórica en Williamsburg
IN THE PAST SEVERAL YEARS New York City’s population has grown rapidly, and with it the need for new housing. The housing shortage in New York is estimated to be several hundred thousand units and this scarcity has compounded the chronic lack of affordable housing in the city. CPC and CPCR have been active leaders in addressing this crisis.
The New Domino is a unique opportunity to bring urgently-needed affordable housing to the Williamsburg community. Moreover, we will provide more affordable housing than what current zoning requires at waterfront sites.
At The New Domino, we intend to develop 660 units - a full 30% of the total - as affordable housing, a majority of which will be for low and very-low income households.
The average annual income for a family of four in Williamsburg’s Southside is approximately $35,000 – half of the City’s median income. Of the 660 affordable housing apartments at the site:
The affordable housing units at The New Domino will be located on both the waterfront and upland parcels.
CPC's and CPCR’s top priority has been and will continue to be to preserve, improve and expand the affordable housing stock in New York.
